David Fam founded Dreamers Investment Consortium to do one thing — apply a forty-year-old doctrine to a new generation of acquisitions. Not an updated version. The original. Held to its original standard.

David's mandate inside the firm is simple, and it is the most important one: bring the right deals to the right room, and bring the right capital to the right deals. He owns origination, distribution and growth across the platform — every channel by which DIC meets a seller, an operator, or a partner of capital.

What he believes.

He believes that the best businesses in the world are not the ones on the cover of the financial press — they are the ones quietly producing free cash flow in industries no one wants to talk about, owned by founders who built them over thirty or forty years and now want a serious counterparty.

He believes that the seller's character is the first underwriting decision and the most important one. He believes that structure beats price, that compounding beats cleverness, and that an operator who refuses to be in the boardroom is not actually an operator.

And he believes — because the Chairman taught him to believe — that high performance is a decision. The room of decided people is small. He intends DIC to be one of the few houses that fills it.

  • Lineage Stewarding the firm's relationship to the Chairman and the QLA tradition. The doctrine is not a marketing line — it is a practice.

Why it had to be built.

The middle-market in 2026 is a once-in-a-generation buyer's environment: a wall of founder retirements, an institutional capital base too rigid to underwrite operator-led deals, and a brokerage industry that is paid to flip rather than to build.

Most operators see noise. David built Dreamers to see signal — and to act on it with the patience of permanent capital and the standards of a chairman who does not negotiate them.
